Volunteer Information |
|
We are looking for some Godly men and women to
volunteer at NYC 2007 - water fire wind. These
volunteers are a vital part of making NYC a
life-changing event for students! |
| |
|
Below are the two different ways in which people can
volunteer to help with NYC: |
|
1. Local Team - We are seeking adult
volunteers who will partner with us in everything
from site coordination to greeting/directing people
at the airport as well as assisting in various areas
in downtown St. Louis (see list of job positions
below). To become a local volunteer, candidates must
fill out an application; seek approval by the
District NYI Council then take part in a background
check. Once approved, registration will take place
through a backdoor link on the NYC '07 website
(www.waterfirewind.com). |
|
These adults (21 years old minimum) can come from
any part of the country to participate. They can
sign up to help for as little as one shift for a few
hours on one day or as much as helping for the
entire week. We are working with St. Louis
University to provide very low cost housing for out
of town volunteers (approx. $30/night). For more
detailed information please visit the "Volunteer"
section of the website. |

2.
Youth in Mission - Because we really want to
make an impact on the city of St. Louis for the long
term, we are teaming with Youth in Mission (YIM) to
invest in local church youth ministry in the greater
St. Louis area for the entire summer of 2007. These
students need to apply and will be coordinated
through YIM. Not only will YIM Interns be invested
in local church youth ministry, but during NYC '07 -
Water Fire Wind, they will join the Core Team as
interns. All college aged students interested in
helping with NYC need to go through Youth in
Mission. |
